One of the essential elements of stainless steel is chrome and this word witnessed the birth of the INOXCROM^®brand that Maria Boix Gacia registered in July 1946 for writing instruments that used stainless steel tips manufactured in the Industrial Mava Workshop in Barcelona.

As the market grew, the license of the INOXCROM^® brand was granted to the Inoxcrom company, founded by Manuel Vaqué Ferrandis when he joined forces with Federico Jarque Serarols of Talleres Aurum, in order to consolidate its manufacturing capacity, and with Ricardo Gurina Pérez of Soffer Hispania to guarantee distribution by assuring commercial service.

Miguel Sorribes Artola, Pablo Borotau Roselló and Víctor Manuel Muñoz Blan who had the expertise in mechanical engineering, were responsible for committing to a high level of quality. They lead a motivated team of technicians who aimed for high precision. They achieved a reputation of excellence-in-quality that together with a policy of affordable prices saw the consolidation of the INOXCROM^® brand in Spain. This success enabled them to move into exportation and attaining great prestige in more than ninety countries.

It was thanks to the design of the manufacturing and transformation processes for stainless steel developed by Valentin Llopis Prusi and his team that the catalogue of products with a stainless steel finish increased substantially, furthermore associating the INOXCROM^® brand with the metal that gave it its name.

One of the main values identified with the brand worldwide had been its firm commitment to sustainability, with the introduction of the internationally distinctive enlargened cartridge. Its great capacity lengthens its use, and because its replaceable, the ball pen acquires an indefinite life span, like the fountain pens which were the first quality standard in the history of the INOXCROM^® brand.
