Our History

The basic components of the first models were stainless steel and chromium-plated metal, words which, when combined, gave rise to the name INOXCROM, which was used for the stainless steel nibs manufactured in Barcelona by the Industrial Mava workshop. In July 1946, María Boix Gacia registered the name as a trademark for writing instruments. INOXCROM® was born.

Manuel Vaqué

As the market grew, the INOXCROM® brand was licensed to the company Inoxcrom, founded by Manuel Vaqué Ferrandis, partnering with Federico Jarque Serarols of Talleres Aurum to consolidate manufacturing capacity, and with Ricardo Gurina Pérez of Soffer Hispania, to guarantee distribution, ensuring commercial service.

Miguel Sorribes

The first people responsible for the commitment to a high level of quality were the expert mechanics Miguel Sorribes Artola, Pablo Borotau Roselló and Víctor Manuel Muñoz Blan, at the head of a motivated mechanical team, who were committed to high precision, achieving an image of excellent quality which, together with a policy of very reasonable prices, consolidated the INOXCROM® brand in Spain and allowed it to launch itself on the export market, achieving great prestige in more than ninety countries.

Valentín Llopis

Thanks to the design of the stainless steel manufacturing and transformation processes developed by Valentín Llopis Prusi and his team, the catalogue of products with a stainless steel finish increased considerably, so that the INOXCROM® brand was definitively associated with the metal that gives it its name.

One of the greatest values associated with the brand worldwide has been the firm commitment to sustainability, with the introduction of the internationally recognised ‘giant’ refill. Its high capacity prolongs its use and, being replaceable, gives the pen an indefinite life, as is the case with fountain pens, the first benchmark of quality in the history of the INOXCROM® brand.

Since 2012, the licence to operate the INOXCROM® brand has been held by the Inoxgrup cooperative which, thanks to the mechanical experience of its team, has been able to maintain the quality standards required for the prestige of the INOXCROM® brand, which is currently distributed by PensFromBcn on an exclusive worldwide basis.
